...quite a damn year.
This is the EOY wrap up, so expect a bit of rambling, if you'll indulge me.
Turned fucking 50!!!! What the fk, man. I still haven't wrapped my head around it. Trying to enjoy the journey without milling over the things I haven't done. I've made my mind up however.....the rest of my natural days will be spent continuing to take care of me and mine, but also prioritizing the making of memories. Creating moments and capturing them. Documenting more.
New job, two promotions in a year. Just a year and a half ago I was in misery and an extremely dark depression trying to find work. Then my God opened a door to a career. I wish you would tell me He isn't real.
Family GOOD. Thriving. THE REMEDY, consistent and getting even better. Paid In Full, resurging. We may have experienced our livest night ever this year. The Soul Qurators, putting other podcasts to shame. Had the dopest year EVER.
2024 has proven to be the year of addition by subtraction. Its proven to be the year when sometimes I’d say the quiet parts outloud or I stay silent and watch the car crashes. I’m vehemently against the notion of “leaving things behind in the new year”, because hell, if you held on to anything problematic just based on the calendar, you deserve whatever stress you got.
I’ve mourned my losses, celebrated my successes and thanked God for the lessons that both have taught me. I’m sure these lessons that will come in handy for 2025.
